His full name is Rohit Gurunath Sharma and born on April 30, 1987, at Bansod, Nagpur, Maharashtra. Rohit is a right-handed opening batsman and occasionally a right-handed off-breaker. His nickname is “Hitman” for an aggressive batting style. Rohit is a lively supporter of animal welfare operations.

He is the ambassador of the WWF-Indian rhinoceros and one of the most active members of the public for proper animal treatment(PETA). Rohit Sharma is an Indian cricketer who represents the country in international cricket and the co-captain of the Indian national cricket team in the limited-overs game.

At the domestic level, Rohit played first-class cricket for Mumbai. He is also the current captain of Mumbai Indians in the IPL. The right-hander batsman started his international career when he was 20 years old on 23 June 2007 in opposition to Ireland. Rohit Sharma made his T20 international Debut Against England at Durban for India during the ICC World Twenty20 on September 19, 2007, and was part of the World Cup-winning Indian national team. On October 2, 2015, Sharma scored 106 runs against the South African tour to India, the first Twenty20 international at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.

Sharma became the 2nd Indian cricketer to score centuries in three formats of international cricket. On July 8, 2018, Sharma became the second Indian batsman after Virat Kohli and fifth globally in the Twenty20 international.
